Key Responsibilities
- Lead Litigation End-to-End: Manage cases from intake through trial, including strategy development, discovery, depositions, and settlement negotiations
- Advocate in Court: Represent clients in hearings, trials, mediations, and arbitrations with confidence and precision
- Client Strategy & Guidance: Advise clients on legal options and develop winning strategies tailored to their cases
- Draft & Argue: Prepare persuasive pleadings, motions, and discovery documents
- Trial Preparation: Work closely with paralegals and staff on exhibits, witnesses, and trial strategy
- Case Evaluation: Analyze liability, damages, and risk to guide case direction
- Client Communication: Maintain strong, consistent communication and deliver a high-touch client experience
Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years of plaintiff-side personal injury litigation experience
- License: Required: Active Ohio Bar license
- Preferred: Dual licensure in Ohio and Texas
- Trial Background: Strong courtroom experience with a track record of results
- Skills: Exceptional advocacy, negotiation, and legal writing abilities
- Mindset: Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Work Style: Self-driven, organized, and comfortable managing a full caseload in a remote environment
- Team Player: Collaborative approach with the ability to work cross-functionally
