About the Role
This position is accountable for providing exceptional service with a focus on cross-selling financial products and services while adhering to the credit union’s policies, procedures, and quality service standards. The role reports directly to the Assistant Branch Manager (or Branch Manager, if no ABM) and does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed established monthly and annual sales and service goals.
- Follow quality service standards to ensure exceptional service is provided.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all products, services, policies, and procedures.
- Open new accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of process and documentation.
- Promote and cross-sell California Coast Credit Union (CCCU) products and services to encourage long-term member relationships.
- Process consumer and real estate loans, ensuring accuracy of documentation and compliance with underwriter stipulations.
- Address and resolve difficult member situations in a positive manner.
- Serve as a backup to Personal Financial Assistant or Teller, including maintaining a cash drawer if required.
- Act as a notary when needed.
- Complete documentation to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Perform necessary steps to ensure BSA/AML compliance and reduce risk to the credit union.
- Participate in activities to increase member growth and retention, promote products and services, and meet individual goals.
- Perform other relevant and related duties as required.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- PFR I: 1 year of experience in a financial institution or related field.
- PFR II: 2 years of experience in a financial institution (with 1 of the 2 years as a PFR) or related field, plus proven successful performance in sales and service.
- PFR III: 3 years of experience in a financial institution (with 2 of the 3 years as a PFR) or related field, plus proven successful performance in sales and service.
- Excellent communication skills, sound judgment, and attention to detail.
- Ability to operate standard business machines such as computers, printers, fax machines, copiers, and telephonic devices.
- Ability to appear for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with coworkers, and accept constructive criticism.
- Bilingual in Spanish is desired but not required.

- Excellent ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Ability to tolerate periods of continuous sitting.
Work Environment
Work is primarily performed within a cubicle office setting, subject to standard background noise found in an office environment.
Pay
- Personal Financial Representative I: $21.00 - $25.96 per hour
- Personal Financial Representative II: $22.68 - $28.34 per hour
- Personal Financial Representative III: $25.22 - $31.52 per hour
