About the role
This position provides personal financial services at assigned military installations. It includes counseling and managing financial services for military service members and their families.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one counseling, consultations, and briefings to military service members and their families.
- Develop and distribute financial materials to service members and families.
- Coordinate and promote various financial management classes and workshops tailored to different stages of the military lifecycle.
- Respond to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars.
- Utilize virtual counseling or other electronic modes of communication as needed.
- Manage duty-to-warn situations according to DoD protocol.
- Communicate with leadership and participate in regular supervision and training sessions.
- Participate in in-services/training, quality improvement committees, or other contract activities as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required, or an associate degree plus 4 years' experience, or a high school diploma plus 6 years' experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
- 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
- U.S. citizenship and fluency in English.
- If required by the contract, must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
- Pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process.
- One of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).

- Must be able to pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process.
Skills
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of financial planning and counseling principles.

Pay
$58,440 - $93,500 annually.
