Personal Carer Trainee
About the role
As a Personal Carer Trainee, you'll provide care to clients living in the community, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life. You'll spend your time on the road completing scheduled visits, interacting one-on-one with clients within their homes, supporting with daily activities such as showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry and ironing. You'll also provide care in accordance with their individualized Care Plan and support with community-based recreational and social activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-home personal care and daily living assistance
- Support clients with their individualized Care Plans
- Engage in community-based recreational and social activities
- Transport clients and assist with shopping and appointments
Requirements
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence (Green Provisional minimum)
- Roadworthy & insured (Third Party Property minimum) vehicle for work
- Experience with technology, including smartphones, tablets, laptops
- Confidence to satisfy relevant probity checks
Qualifications
No formal qualifications are required, as the program includes a fully funded Certificate III in Individual Support.

Pay
$32.69 per hour + superannuation + salary packaging + allowances + travel reimbursement (KM’s)
Schedule
Part-time, permanent position with flexible hours to accommodate client needs.
