Job Summary

BlueCare's Specialised Palliative Care Services is growing throughout Queensland. Joining our team means contributing to the delivery of exceptional end-of-life care within the comfort of clients' homes.

About the role

You will provide care to palliative care clients living in the community, supporting their end-of-life wishes and improving their quality of life. Your responsibilities include:

• Scheduled home visits to support clients with daily activities such as showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry and ironing.
• Supporting clients according to their individualized Care Plans.
• Engaging in community-based recreational and social activities.
• Assisting with transportation and shopping needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to clients in their homes.
• Adhere to and implement client-specific care plans.
• Participate in community-based activities to enhance clients' quality of life.
• Ensure client safety and comfort during home visits.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

• Able to drive a vehicle and have a valid driver's license.
• Experience in providing personal care and support to individuals in need.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Knowledge of palliative care principles and practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Qualifications

While not essential, relevant qualifications can be advantageous:

• Post-secondary education in a related field.
• Certified Personal Care Assistant (CPCA) or equivalent certification.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Empathy and patience.
• Flexibility and adaptability.
• Good organizational and time management skills.

Pay

$36.32 per hour + superannuation + salary packaging + allowances + travel reimbursement + employee discounts.

Schedule

Full-time or part-time availability is considered.

Payroll Information
