Job Summary

About the role

Prestige is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Resident Care Assistant. This position involves providing direct resident care, completing various tasks, and maintaining a positive environment for residents.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct resident care while promoting dignity, independence, and choice
• Observes residents’ physical and mental conditions and reports changes to relevant supervisors
• Assists with or performs Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), takes vital signs, and documents care services and observations
• Reports and documents all incidents and accidents immediately
• Greets residents, visitors, and staff courteously, answers phones when assigned, and follows fire safety and infection control practices
• Serves meals in the dining room, assists residents at mealtime, delivers trays, cleans up after meals, and maintains the dining room and kitchen
• Aids with tours, move-ins, move-outs, transfers, and coordinates personal care services with colleagues
• Assists with apartment housekeeping services and resident laundry
• Attends and participates in training, in-services, and staff meetings
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must complete and pass competency evaluation within 120 days of employment
• Must have completed and passed state-required training including the Revised Fundamentals of Care, Dementia Care, First Aid, CPR, and HIV training if not provided with documentation of prior training
• Must be able to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation
• High school diploma or GED with one or more years of personal care experience with older adults preferred

Pay

The pay range for this position is $X per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
