Job Summary
About the role
Prestige is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Resident Care Assistant. This position involves providing direct resident care, completing various tasks, and maintaining a positive environment for residents.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct resident care while promoting dignity, independence, and choice
- Observes residents' physical and mental conditions and reports changes to supervisors
- Assists with or performs Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), takes vital signs, and documents care services provided
- Reports and documents all incidents and accidents immediately
- Greets residents, visitors, and staff courteously, answers phones, and assists with tours, move-ins, move-outs, and transfers
- Serves meals in the dining room, assists with tray delivery, and maintains the dining room and kitchen
- Assists with apartment housekeeping services and resident laundry
- Attends and participates in training, in-services, and staff meetings
Requirements
- Must complete and pass competency evaluation within 120 days of employment
- Must have completed and passed state-required training including the Revised Fundamentals of Care, Dementia Care, First Aid, CPR, and HIV training if not provided
- Must be able to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with one or more years of personal care experience with older adults preferred
Skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow instructions and policies
- Basic computer literacy
