Job Summary

About the role

Prestige is seeking a dedicated individual to provide direct resident care, assist in maintaining a positive environment, and uphold our core values of respect, integrity, commitment, and trust.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct resident care while promoting dignity, independence, and choice
  • Observes residents’ physical and mental conditions and reports changes to relevant supervisors
  • Assists with or performs ADLs, takes vital signs, and documents care services and observations
  • Reports and documents incidents and accidents promptly
  • Greets residents, visitors, and staff courteously, answers phones, and follows fire safety and infection control practices
  • Serves meals, assists with dining room and kitchen clean-up, and coordinates personal care services
  • Attends and participates in training sessions and staff meetings

Requirements

  • Must complete and pass competency evaluation within 120 days of employment
  • Must have completed and passed state-required training including the Revised Fundamentals of Care, Dementia Care, First Aid, CPR, and HIV training if not provided
  • Maintains current First Aid and CPR certifications
  • Obtains Food Handlers permit if required by state

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with one or more years of personal care experience with older adults preferred

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
