Job Summary
About the role
Prestige is seeking a dedicated individual to provide direct resident care, assist with various tasks, and maintain a positive environment for residents.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct resident care while promoting dignity, independence, and choice
- Observes residents’ physical and mental conditions and reports changes to supervisors
- Assists with or performs Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), takes vital signs, and documents care services and observations
- Reports and documents incidents and accidents immediately
- Greets residents, visitors, and staff courteously, answers phones, and follows fire safety and infection control practices
- Serves meals, assists with dining room and kitchen clean-up, and maintains cleanliness
- Assists with tours, move-ins, move-outs, transfers, and personal care services
- Attends and participates in training sessions and staff meetings
Requirements
- Must complete and pass competency evaluation within 120 days of employment
- Must have completed and passed state-required training including the Revised Fundamentals of Care, Dementia Care, First Aid, CPR, and HIV training if not available through previous experience
- Must be able to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with one or more years of personal care experience with older adults preferred
Skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow safety protocols
- Good organizational and communication skills
