Personal Care Assistant

About the role

The Caregiver position at Savant of Jurupa Valley is seeking a team player who can commit to enhancing the lives of senior residents through exceptional care and engaging programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including grooming, oral hygiene, bath/shower, hair cleaning and brushing, and transferring to and from activities and meals, as needed.
• Lift and/or transfer residents as needed.
• Report to the Wellness Director and provide direct care and medication assistance to residents in accordance with Community expectations.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent certificate.
• A competent history in a similar facility.
• Possess current CPR certification.
• Possess valid First Aid Certification.
• Speak, read, and understand English fluently.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift residents and support their physical needs constantly.
• Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing.

Qualifications

This position prefers candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent certificate and a competent history in a similar facility. May need to possess current CPR certification and valid First Aid Certification. Must be able to speak, read, and understand English fluently. Must have the ability to push, pull, and lift residents and support their physical needs constantly. Must be able to spend prolonged periods of time standing.

Skills

Strong interpersonal skills, ability to follow directions, and a passion for senior care are essential.

Pay

$18.00 - $20.50 per hour
