Personal Care Assistant 3rd Shift

About the role

The Ashford of Mt. Washington is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to join our dedicated team. This position is available on a 3rd shift basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional personal service and daily care to residents.
• Perform physical resident care including all aspects of personal hygiene and grooming.
• Answer call lights promptly and address resident and family needs.
• Motivate and encourage resident participation in activities.
• Absorb and assist residents to and from activities, dining rooms, and other functions within the community.
• Lift, turn, and reposition residents as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Organized and self-motivated to provide excellent care for our residents.
• CPR certified. Nurse Aide certification is preferred but not required.
• Effective communication skills to interact with co-workers, residents, family members, and peers.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions.
• Previous experience in Assisted Living or Memory Care Community is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and ability to handle stressful situations.

$16/hour plus shift differential.
