Personal Care Aide (PCA) Med Tech

Responsibilities

• Communicate in a dignified, respectful manner.
• Relate well to residents, visitors, and other staff members.
• Show emotional and physical stamina to assist residents with daily living skills.
• Participate in opportunities for personal academic growth.
• Practice self-control in speech, listening, body, and facial mannerisms.
• Aid residents with activities of daily living.
• Aid residents with medication administration.
• Aid residents with grooming, showering, and other aspects of personal care.
• Update medication administration records as needed.
• Ensure residents receive all necessary documents for doctor appointments.
• Consult and correspond with doctor offices for clarifications.
• Contact pharmacies for prescription refills and ensure eScript copies are received.
• Record all pertinent information regarding residents in the twenty-four hour log book.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prior experience with medication assistance is preferred.
• Previous experience, either professional, personal, or volunteer, with the elderly population is preferred.

Compensation

$15/hour + PTO
