Personal Banker (Part-time - MRA)
General Summary
Accurately perform branch functions while providing exceptional member experience. Identify member financial needs and provide recommendations utilizing our products and services to serve those needs. Position Duties & Functions
- Delivers a consistent and exceptional member experience with every member interaction.
- Builds relationships with members through needs assessments and product and service recommendations that serve their financial needs.
- Advise members on improving financial health with savings, managing debt, building credit, lending options, digital banking, and marketing campaigns and promotions.
- Proactively outreach to members and prospects and perform follow-up activities including calling to deepen relationships.
- Aid members with completion of loan applications, inspecting documents for accuracy and thoroughness for stipulations.
- Review loan applications, gather credit histories and reports, and work with Consumer Lending to assess credit risks.
- Engage members with mortgage and other internal and external partners to help members with their financial goals.
- Participate in business development events to identify sales prospects and follow up on leads to achieve both individual and branch sales targets as assigned.
- Aid members with financial transactions including working with cash and checks while adhering to policies and procedures to accurately process transactions, identify and prevent fraud, and balance cash negotiables daily.
- Perform daily branch duties and responsibilities as assigned by manager including servicing ATMs and other branch operations tasks.
- May be required to become a Notary Public based on the needs of the branch location.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- Experience and Education: 1 to 2 years’ customer service and/or cash handling experience required. Financial services experience preferred. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated qualifications.
- Knowledge and Skills: Ability to write and speak effectively in English using correct spelling and grammar. Basic math skills including the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages using a 10-key. Proficient in the use of basic applications in a Windows-based environment, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Moderate keyboard skills at 40 wpm. Excellent customer service skills.

- Physical Demands: Work involves extensive use of computers, up to eight hours per day. Appropriate vision, dexterity, and other physical abilities are required. May include occasional pushing, pulling, or carrying objects weighing up to 20 pounds. Must be able to speak and present on the telephone and/or through digital means of communication, including but not limited to Zoom/Teams/or other video technologies.
Pay Range: $21.79 - $29.96 per hour
This position participates in the Branch Channel Incentive Plan. Incentives are paid quarterly and are based on individual sales production, branch team sales performance, and member experience metrics. Quarterly payouts include structured dollar-based awards for achieving sales point thresholds and branch performance goals.
