About the role
At WSFS Bank, Personal Bankers provide products and services to enhance customer relationships. The role involves understanding and educating customers about their financial needs, recommending appropriate products and services, opening new accounts, submitting loan applications, and ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements. Personal Bankers resolve customer service issues, perform account maintenance, promote digital banking services, and assist with teller transactions.
This position includes a 4-6 month training program covering transaction processing, account opening, referral techniques, customer service, and relationship-building methods to ensure success and engagement within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers in-person and through outbound calls to understand and address their financial needs.
- Recommend and provide appropriate bank products and services.
- Open new accounts and submit loan applications.
- Comply with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Resolve customer service issues and perform account maintenance requests.
- Promote and educate customers on the bank’s digital banking services.
- Process teller transactions accurately, efficiently, and in a friendly manner.
- Build and expand the branch’s customer base using relationship-building and referral techniques.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of face-to-face customer service experience.
- Previous cash handling experience.
- Prior sales experience.
- Proven ability to work with customers enthusiastically and provide excellent customer service.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to market bank products and services.
- Attention to detail and ability to learn multiple banking and software programs.
- One year of previous banking experience preferred.
- Previous experience in a retail sales environment is strongly preferred.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer-sponsored visa support (e.g., H-1B).
Schedule
Full-time, 40 hours per week with a flexible rotating weekly schedule. Hours include Monday - Friday 8 AM – 6 PM and Saturday 9 AM – 1 PM, with 2-3 Saturdays required per month. Schedule may change based on business needs.
Pay
Salary range: $37,440 - $52,800. Individual base pay may vary based on experience, skills, education, geographic location, and other business needs. Eligible associates may also receive discretionary and formula-based incentive and retention awards.
