About the role
The Personal Banker I position provides an exceptional customer experience by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing long-lasting relationships with existing and prospective customers. This role processes teller transactions and works as a member of the platform staff, helping customers understand and address their financial needs through consultative sales and service.
Accountable for risk management, ethical behavior, and driving a positive customer experience while operating within the Bank's risk appetite.
Responsibilities
- Create a memorable customer experience by cultivating and enhancing relationships in an assigned book of business through proactive outreach (in-person, phone, or other channels).
- Use a consultative approach to uncover customer needs and tailor recommendations, solutions, or advice.
- Maintain working knowledge of products, services, and processes offered by the bank.
- Collaborate with internal partners to meet customer needs and resolve problems.
- Analyze customer credit data and financial information to align solutions with their needs.
- Provide customer support to reinforce the value of current and new technology.
- Process teller transactions and adhere to balancing guidelines.
- Follow the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, modeling expected ethical behavior.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED and 6 months of customer service experience, or a college degree or equivalent military experience.
- Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with new customers and deepen existing ones.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Business acumen and sound decision-making ability.
- SAFE Act registration through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) at the time of employment.
Working conditions: Normal office environment with extended computer screen use.
Pay
Total base pay range: $43,680.00 – $69,900.00 USD annually. Individual salaries within this range vary based on factors such as role, skillset, experience, education, and geographic location. This role is also eligible for incentive compensation based on company, line of business, and/or individual performance.
