About the role

The Personal Banker I position at Fifth Third Bank is dedicated to providing exceptional customer experiences by building and maintaining long-lasting relationships with customers. This role involves processing teller transactions and working as part of the platform staff, offering solutions that cover customers' financial needs throughout their lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Create a memorable customer experience by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing relationships in a designated book of business through proactive outreach efforts.
• Utilize a consultative approach to uncover and tailor recommendations, solutions, and advice for current or prospective customers.
• Maintain a working knowledge of products, services, and processes offered.
• Collaborate with internal partners to ensure customer needs are met and all issues are resolved.
• Analyze customer credit data and other financial information to ensure alignment with customer needs and appropriate solutions.
• Provide customer support, reinforcing the value of current and new technologies.
• Process teller transactions and adhere to balancing guidelines.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED and 6 months customer service experience, or college degree or equivalent military experience.
• Demonstrated ability to develop comfort with both new household acquisitions and deepening customer relationships.
• Ability to professionally represent Fifth Third Bank in verbal and written communication.
• Demonstrated business acumen.
• Able to make sound decisions.

Qualifications

• SAFE Act registration required at the time of employment through NMLS.

Skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficient in using technology and software relevant to banking operations.

Pay

Total Base Pay Range: $43,680.00 - $69,900.00 USD Annually
