POSITION SUMMARY & MISSION

The Personal Banker position at Tri Counties Bank provides confidence-inspiring service to community members visiting branches for teller services and new account openings. Responsibilities include creating and expanding banker-client relationships, assisting with a variety of transactions, detecting opportunities to introduce bank services, and presenting products that meet customers' needs and goals.

SCOPE & COMPLEXITY

Average of approximately 12 or more customer conversations daily.

Major Responsibilities

• Show personal welcome and value to each customer.
• Create and expand banker-client relationships based on purpose, value, and trust.
• Share knowledge about Tri Counties Bank services, products, and partners to help customers save, make more money, or make banking more convenient.
• Employ appropriate solutions for customers and follow through to fulfill their financial needs and goals.
• Maintain accurate sales records and prepare action plans to meet/exceed sales objectives.
• Handle customer transactions accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with bank policies and procedures.
• Train branch team members on product knowledge and skill development.
• Assist other team members in non-primary assigned duties as needed.

Education, Experience And Other Skills Required

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous sales and cash handling experience preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Personal computer and Windows-based program proficiency.
• Completion of Bank product and sales training courses and appropriate certifications.
• Registration as a mortgage loan originator (MLO) in NMLS.

Physical Requirements

May be required to lift up to 25 pounds.
