About the role
The Permit Technician III is responsible for processing and issuing permits within the City of Buckeye. This position requires a strong understanding of local ordinances and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Review and process permit applications according to city policies and procedures.
- Ensure all required documentation is submitted and maintained.
- Communicate effectively with applicants, staff, and other departments regarding permit status and requirements.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of issued permits.
- Assist in training new employees and providing guidance on permit processes.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate's Degree preferred
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Master's Degree or Ph.D. may be considered for supervisory roles
- 6+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience in a Supervisory role
- Municipal permit experience
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay
The salary range for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
