About the role
JSI invites you to join our team as a Permit Coordinator on our Permitting & Environmentals team in our Lubbock, TX office.
Responsibilities

- Coordinate permitting activities across multiple active projects, ensuring adherence to permit schedules and timely submission of complete permit packages.
- Track permit status, supplemental information, approvals, and as-built staking sheet submissions while maintaining accurate permitting records and documentation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with municipal, county, and state agencies regarding permit applications, inquiries, and compliance requirements.
- Monitor regulatory changes and collaborate with project engineers, designers, and internal teams to resolve permit-related issues and minimize project delays.
- Maintain organized digital and physical permitting files and ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and accessible.
- Provide regular permit status updates to project managers and leadership, identifying potential risks and recommending solutions to keep projects on schedule.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in permitting, construction coordination, project administration, or a related role.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, site plans, and technical documents.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
