Principal Accountabilities

• Responsible for effective management of classroom environment.
• Uses innovative approaches and instructional strategies, including the effective use of technologies, to increase student learning and confidence to learn.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
• Collaborates with Special Education (SPED) and English Language Learners (ELL) specialists to meet the specific needs of particular students.
• Maintains documentation, as appropriate.
• Responsible for assuring equal educational opportunity to all individuals regardless of race, color, gender, age, marital status, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, homelessness, or disability.

Building Principals

Required Licensure

• Valid Massachusetts license as required by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in the appropriate grade level, preferred but not required.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with second language acquisition.
• Demonstrated experience with the inclusion model.
