Permanent Substitute Teacher - Grades PK-1st Grade

Qualifications

Substitute teaching certificate required. PEL, Type 03 or Type 04 preferred. ESL preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and supervision for students in the absence of the regular classroom teacher, following provided lesson plans and maintaining established classroom routines.
• Adapt to diverse classroom environments and grade levels.
• Collaborate with staff and administration to support students’ academic and behavioral needs.
• Manage classroom behavior to create a safe and productive learning environment.
• Auxiliary duties may include supervising transitions, lunch, and other common areas.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administration to ensure instructional objectives are met.

Terms Of Employment

• Full-time position for the remainder of the school year.
• $140/day.
• Schedule follows the regular school calendar and hours.
