Aya Healthcare is seeking a Permanent Staff Medical Assistant in Port Charlotte, FL. The position offers a competitive salary based on experience and a flexible schedule of 5, 8-hour days from 05:00 - 17:00. There are 1 opening available.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during patient visits
- Administer medications and injections
- Collect and process specimens for laboratory tests
- Prepare examination rooms and equipment
- Take and record patient vital signs
- Manage medical records and ensure confidentiality
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Florida Medical Assistant license or certification
- At least 1 year of relevant experience
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Skills
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
