Perioperative Resource Asst

About the role

The Perioperative Resource Assistant works under the supervision of a Perioperative Clinical Supervisor to ensure quality care in the perioperative environment. Responsibilities include anticipating, planning for, and responding to the needs of patients, surgeons, and other healthcare team members.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate and plan for patient and surgical needs
• Respond appropriately to the needs of patients, surgeons, and other team members
• Recognize and handle biohazard materials correctly
• Maintain confidentiality of patient, family, coworker, and physician information

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with GED
• CPR certification
• One year experience in a healthcare setting preferred

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of general computer skills and applications
• Ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds, share lift up to 100 pounds, and push up to 200 pounds
