Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Delivers STAT items to Operating Room/Pre-operative staff upon request.
• Maintains a high standard of accuracy and interacts frequently with the hospital data control system.
• Efficiently manages tasks while working in a sterile, fast-paced and high-demand environment.
• Verifies incoming shipments and reports discrepancies to vendor or supervisor.
• Unpacks and inspects items for damage/shortage and returns products back to vendors when needed.
• Identifies the classification of items (stock/non-stock) using the data control system and processes items accordingly.
• Stores items at designated locations accurately and maintains supply areas keeping them neat and clean and properly labeled.
• Performs cycle and par level counts in Operating Room (OR) suites and storage rooms as necessary.
• Reviews par levels, receiving and delivery information with customers and maintains records of material and supplies management activities.
• Picks and stages items for shipment to vendors.
• Audits storerooms and OR suites for expired product.
• Picks items for scheduled cases and completes case carts waiting for instruments.
• Provides phone coverage as necessary.
• Performs additional duties as directed.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Experience: A minimum of one to three years of experience in supply chain/ healthcare environment, preferred.
• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Licenses / Certifications: Other - Computer knowledge in; Word, Excel, Microsoft, ETC.
• Special Requirements: Adjustment of lens of eye to bring an object into sharp focus. This item is especially important when doing near-point work at varying distances from.
