Job Description
The Perinatal Technician performs various direct and indirect patient care activities in accordance with the Nursing Department policies and procedures. The Perinatal Technician assists with the care of any hospitalized patient and a variety of functions related to patient registration, guest relations, order entry and supply management. The Perinatal LNA II/Technician also assists surgeons by scrubbing for cesarean section cases and performing a variety of other duties related to preparing for the surgical patient and maintaining the OR environment.
Education
- Graduation from high school or equivalent
- Certificate of completion from an approved Nurse Assistant training course
Requirements
- Current license to practice as a nursing assistant (LNA) in the State of Vermont required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
Experience
- One year of previous experience as Licensed Nursing Assistant is required
Shift
- Full-time 0.9 FTE (72 hours/pay period)
- Nights (1900-0730)
- Working every other weekend
