Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Perinatal

About the role

The Nemours Panama City Center for Fetal Care is an AIUM-certified practice seeking a full-time Perinatal Advanced Practice Registered Nurse to join an established MFM office. It is located in the medical office building on the campus of HCA Gulf Coast Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient education visits, focusing on diabetic education including review of sugars and recommending adjustments to diabetic therapy as indicated.
• Other patient education topics may include managing other types of therapies such as anti-coagulant treatment or other treatments as necessary for the patient’s care.
• Consult/collaborate with the MFM Physician as needed and as directed.
• Review patient documents, interview patients, create a plan-of-care, and document this in the EMR. Documentation should be completed within 24-48 hours for review by the Physician.
• Collaborate directly with the Physician on a case-by-case basis as clinically necessary and as instructed by the Physician.

Requirements

• Florida APRN Licensure
• American Heart BLS
• 2-3 years of previous experience

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited program in nursing
• Current Florida APRN license
• Current American Heart BLS certification
• At least 2-3 years of previous experience in perinatal care

• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
