Perfusionist Lead
Job Summary
Leads assigned staff in performing activities or tasks in cardiovascular perfusion services.
Primary Responsibilities
- Leads or coordinates shift operations of assigned activities, resources, and staff.
- Serves as a technical or functional resource.
- Assigns, monitors and reviews progress of work.
- Maintains compliance with policies and/or procedures.
- Oversees and evaluates orientation and training of assigned staff.
- Makes input in the review and evaluation of staff performance.
- Performs the duties of a perfusionist when necessary.
Physical Requirements
- Constant standing and walking.
- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
- Frequent reaching, gripping and keyboard use/data entry.
- Frequent use of vision for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more).
- Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.
- Able to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
- Rare use of smell to detect/recognize odors.
- Rare driving.
Education and Experience
- Graduate from a Perfusion Program.
- Two years' experience.
