About the Role
Join our team at Bridges Preparatory School as a Performing Arts Educator and ignite a love for the arts in our students. You will create a safe and inclusive space for students to express themselves through theater, music, and other performing arts. Your creativity and expertise will develop and implement engaging lesson plans that foster artistic appreciation while aligning with our school's vision and mission. By complementing the sciences and humanities, your role will enrich our curriculum and provide a comprehensive learning experience. Through dynamic lessons and creative projects, you will help students explore their talents, build confidence, and cultivate a lifelong appreciation for the arts.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans in performing arts (theater, music, etc.) that align with the school’s vision and mission.
- Create a safe and inclusive environment for students to express themselves creatively.
- Foster students' artistic talents, confidence, and personal growth through dynamic lessons and projects.
- Enrich the school’s curriculum by integrating performing arts with sciences and humanities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in education or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Educator Certificate in the content area (preferred) or demonstrated expertise in performing arts education through years of experience.
Schedule
This position follows the school calendar for the 2026/2027 school year, with a 190-day teacher schedule.
