Performance Improvement Lead
About the Role
The Performance Improvement Lead facilitates and leads performance improvement initiatives, supporting Piedmont's quality and safety strategic priorities such as Leapfrog Hospital Safety grades, Clinical Governance Councils, "Zero Harm" efforts, or any other improvement priorities as they arise.
The Lead evaluates the current state of processes using quantitative and qualitative tools and collaborates with clinical leaders, senior administrators, and frontline staff from multiple disciplines to implement and monitor improvement interventions. This role ensures timely execution and attainment of performance targets and provides project status updates to key stakeholders and leaders as requested.
Candidates must be goal-oriented, data-driven, and demonstrate critical thinking skills.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate and lead performance improvement initiatives aligned with Piedmont’s quality and safety strategic priorities.
- Evaluate current processes using quantitative and qualitative tools.
- Collaborate with clinical leaders, senior administrators, and frontline staff across multiple disciplines to implement and monitor improvement interventions.
- Ensure timely execution and attainment of performance targets.
- Provide project status updates to key stakeholders and leaders as requested.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Nursing, Healthcare/Business Administration, or a closely related field Required.
- Master's Degree in a healthcare-related field Preferred.
- 1 year of work experience in clinical healthcare operations, performance/process improvement, project management and analysis, or a closely related field Required.
- Previous experience in quality/process improvement Preferred.
- If candidate is an RN, a current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License Required.
- Certification in Lean or Six Sigma Preferred.
- CPHQ - Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality Preferred.
