Performance Engineer II

About the role

MTU Aero Engines North America Inc. is seeking an experienced engineer to contribute to the development of highly efficient components that reduce the aerospace industry's climate impact and lower airlines' fuel costs.

Responsibilities

  • Drive integration of engine and component performance with partners and global sites
  • Deliver engine cycle modeling projects and performance methods projects
  • Bring innovation and ingenuity into our products

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
  • M.S. preferred
  • 4-10 years of relevant engineering experience
  • Understanding of concepts, methods and procedures within gas turbine performance and aerodynamics
  • Experience with NPSS modeling (preferred), Python and object-oriented programming
  • Interest in working on an international team
  • German language skills a plus
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
