About Alpha

Join the team building school around student growth. Alpha reimagines the school day around faster learning, stronger mentorship, and more time for students to build real-world skills. Roles with real student impact: Alpha hires teachers (guides), operators, admissions experts, school & curriculum leaders, and remote team members. Education work that pays like it matters: Alpha offers six-figure roles for people ready to help build a radically better school experience. A culture built for builders: Alpha is fast-moving, ambitious, and student focused. It’s for people who want to improve the system, not maintain it. Alpha is where you can do the most meaningful work of your career.

Alpha is constructing the highest-quality K-12 experience in the world. That mission demands leaders who have already demonstrated the ability to elevate others' performance, make objective decisions grounded in data, and champion innovative approaches over entrenched habits. Students do not sit through traditional lectures. They progress through academics using adaptive technology, while Guides provide coaching, accountability, motivation, and instruction in essential life skills.

This position is presently available at selected Alpha campuses: Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Miami, FL; Miami Beach, FL; Boston, MA; Raleigh, NC; New York City, NY; Orange County, CA; and Santa Barbara, CA. If you reside in one of these areas—or are willing to relocate—we encourage you to reach out. Candidates of exceptional caliber from other locations are also invited to apply.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Coaching Guides to reliably provide outstanding student experiences while upholding Alpha's rigorous standards.
  • Facilitating dynamic life skills workshops that build communication, leadership, focus, and other practical competencies for students in grades K-12.
  • Inspiring students to reach ambitious academic targets and optimize their progress within self-directed learning programs.
  • Leveraging data, direct observation, and structured coaching dialogues to enhance Guide effectiveness and student results.
  • Supporting the launch and establishment of new Alpha campuses by cultivating a culture rooted in excellence, accountability, and ongoing improvement.

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Delivering traditional academic instruction or presenting subject-specific lectures.
  • Developing lesson plans or creating curriculum materials.
  • Compromising standards to provide students with a superficial sense of success rather than guiding them to genuine mastery.
  • Leading a team remotely from an office without direct, regular engagement in coaching students and Guides.
  • Defending obsolete methods simply because "that's the way it's always been done."

Responsibilities

Guarantee that every student reliably receives Alpha's three core promises by developing high-performing Guides, facilitating compelling life skills experiences, and upholding uncompromising expectations for student achievement.
