Per Diem Youth Advocate - Beal Street Residential Program

What You Will Be Doing to Makes a Difference in the Lives of Youth

• Driving is required
• Spending time with and supervising 12 youths in a medium size home like environment
• Providing support and encouragement to youths
• Ensuring the overall safety of youth in the program
• Auxiliary youths with their service goals including homework help, coping skills and behavior management
• Acting as a positive role model to support youths’ wellbeing

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED required
• 1 year experience working with adolescents is preferred (not required)
• Residential experience preferred
• Experience with systems (e.g. DMH, DCF) preferred
• Additional languages desirable, though not required
• Able to learn, carry out and be certified in CPI physical interventions, and de-escalation techniques
• Able to learn, carry out and be certified in CPR and first aid

Schedule

Must be available to work weekends (morning and/or evening shifts); more hours available
