Per Diem Ultrasound Technologist - OB/GYN/MFM

About the Role

We are seeking a Per Diem, Senior Ultrasound Technologist (OB/GYN, MFM) to perform diagnostic sonographic examinations using ultrasonic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality images for anatomical, pathological, and functional evaluation.
• Perform studies across various modalities, ensuring adherence to protocols.
• Provide training and guidance to Ultrasound Technology students, monitoring their clinical progress.
• Access and manage patient information via hospital information systems, verifying details per HIPAA regulations.
• Assess patient conditions, explain procedures, and adjust exams as needed for optimal results.
• Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment, conducting quality control checks and reporting malfunctions.
• Follow departmental policies, safety, and isolation procedures.

Requirements

• Certificate from an approved ultrasound/vascular technology program.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Registered or eligible to register with ARDMS within one year.
• Licenses such as Cardiovascular Credentialing or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer preferred.
