Department specific responsibilities
Come and join BIDMC's overnight SW primary response Team! Currently we have a wonderful group of 4 social workers on this service, and we are looking to round it out to 5. This team covers the Emergency Department and the Center for Violence Prevention & Recovery pagers overnight from 11pm-7am on weeknights and 9pm-7am on weekends. It is a role in which these pagers are covered remotely (hopefully you are sleeping!) until there is a request for any urgent SW support, at which time there are some cases that can be responded to via remote work, and some cases that will require you to come in for an onsite response - there is a corresponding pay scale for different types of work. There is also a seasoned SW supervisor assigned every shift who can be reached for extra assistance and consultation.
