About the role

This Per Diem Clinical RN Coordinator – Oncology position in Norwalk, CT involves coordinating outpatient oncology/hematology care to ensure high-quality, safe patient treatment.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with patient assessments, care coordination, and education on treatment plans and side effects.
• Manage clinical data, review abnormal results, and facilitate timely interventions.
• Order, document, and verify treatment doses, ensuring safety and compliance with guidelines.
• Support patient education, participate in quality improvement, and oversee training of staff and medical assistants.
• Perform routine diagnostic tests, assist with outpatient procedures, and maintain medical equipment.
• Capture and maintain accurate documentation and ensure billing compliance.

Requirements

• Requires an RN license in CT.
• 3+ years of experience.
• PREFERRED: BSN and Oncology Certification.

Qualifications

• Max of 3 days/week, days are variable shifts.

Skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR).
