Responsibilities

• Minimum shift requirements of 3 shifts per month.
• Provides compassionate care to residents.
• Responds to emergency calls and provides care as needed.
• Communicates changes to resident health or vitals with DON and/or Physician.
• Serves as a positive role model for C.N.A. and other clinical staff members.
• Completes required documentation and ensures compliance with CMS, CDC and Piper Shores standards of care.

Qualifications

• Current RN or LPN license in Maine.
• CPR certification or ability to become certified.
• Experience in Assisted Living or Long‑Term Care facility preferred.
• Familiarity with dementia behaviors and ability to effectively communicate with individuals experiencing dementia.
• Warm and friendly demeanor with a positive approach to interacting with seniors and co‑workers.
• Ability to stand and move for extended period of time; ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently.
• Must be fully vaccinated against influenza and required public‑health vaccines (e.g., MMR, TB); a two‑step TB test is required upon hire.
