Per Diem Respiratory Therapist – Rapid City, SD or Sidney, NE

This role offers high independence and strong community impact in a rural, growing market. You will support a small, close-knit team and play a key role in improving respiratory care across the Sidney region.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct home visits to perform oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment setups and follow-ups
- Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Assess patient needs, document care delivered, and escalate concerns appropriately
- Respond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needs
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and internal branch teams
- Maintain accurate documentation using iPad/laptop
- Set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment, including, but not limited to, oxygen therapy, nebulization therapy, apnea monitoring, suctioning, PAP, invasive and non-invasive ventilation
- Inspect and test equipment to ensure proper operating condition
- Perform clinical assessments and tests such as pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry and gather vital signs
- Perform other duties as required
What We Look For
- Registered Respiratory Therapist with an active NE RT license
- Ability to stand, lift, push and/or pull objects ranging from 10 – 50 lbs
- Valid driver's license
- Comfortable using mobile technology, navigation tools, and digital documentation
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- Certificates, licenses, registrations or professional designations: Hold a current RCP license in the state of practice (or states that the location covers) if that state requires an RCP license to allow the practice of respiratory therapy, Hold a current CPR Certification, Hold all applicable licensure in good standing for all states of practice

Pay
Salary range $27 – $34 per hour. Compensation offered may vary based on job-related factors such as experience, skills, education and location.
Schedule
On-site; 50% office / 50% road. Fully flexible Per Diem schedule. Community-focused, independent branch environment.
