Respiratory Therapist - Per Diem

About the role

The hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronically ill patients. Respiratory Therapists (RT) are central to this mission, providing compassionate and excellent care throughout the recovery process.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend appropriate treatment plans.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must possess an Active CRT or RRT credential from the NBRC or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred), high school transcript/diploma, or GED.
• Must have current state licensure.
• ACLS certification is required upon hire.
• (For agency RTs): ACLS certification is required upon first shift.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.

• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay

$43 per hour plus shift differential for night and weekend shifts.

PRN/Per Diem, 12-hour shifts, PM shifts available.
