Per Diem Residential Counselor I
Job Summary
Join us as a Residential Counselor in our Teen Parenting Programs and help young mothers and their children create brighter futures. Be a mentor, foster independence, and ensure a safe space for residents.
What You'll Do
- Provide essential support, guidance, and life-changing skills to teen mothers in a safe, nurturing environment.
- Guide teen mothers through daily routines, from meal prep to schoolwork, chores, and self-care.
- Foster independence by helping residents build the skills they need to succeed long after they leave the program.
- Create a safe space by ensuring a calm, secure, and supportive living environment, handling crises with compassion and care.
- Work alongside an incredible team dedicated to achieving shared goals and building a stronger community.
Qualifications
- Passion for people: Experience working with women, teens, or children, especially in residential or community settings.
- Team player: Ability to collaborate with others to create a positive environment and meet the needs of residents.
- Empathy and leadership: A natural ability to manage challenging situations with calm and compassion.
- Commitment: Must be 21+, with a high school diploma (Associate’s Degree in Human Services is a plus) and a valid driver’s license.
Shifts & Compensation
- On-call and vacation coverage
- $20-$23 per hour
