Responsibilities

  • Affirms development, implementation, and documentation of individual treatment support plans.
  • Carries out a variety of daily tasks with persons served, including (re)habilitative interventions, behavioral interventions, and monitoring.
  • Provides role model and support to persons served.
  • Assists persons served in becoming fully integrated into their communities.
  • Assesses persons served physical and emotional status, and reports changes to supervisor.
  • Maintains program site safety and maintenance as necessary at all times.
  • Oversees and participates in the daily living and cleaning of the program, inside and outside with persons served.
  • Completes various paperwork and logs including communication logs, community membership logs, chore schedules, timesheets, and application forms.
  • Performs crisis intervention, as needed.
  • Provides Relief Pool Coordinator or Human Resources staff with current contact information, including working telephone number(s), email address, and mailing address.
  • Performs other related duties, as required.

Requirements

  • One to three months experience in a human services setting.
  • Experience working with individuals with brain injury preferred.
  • Typical Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Driving Requirements: May be called on to drive for Vinfen using either a Vinfen van or personal vehicle. A valid driver’s license must be presented at the time of employment.
  • Physical Effort: Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb as this is a very physically active position. Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds using proper lifting techniques or the use of a two-person lift.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
