Responsibilities

• Organize and administer individualized, age-specific professional care to patients within the outpatient dialysis unit in support of medical care.
• Support the philosophy, objectives, mission, and vision of Trinitas Regional Medical Center and the Department of Nursing.
• Practice in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements, and other regulatory agencies.
• Perform hemodialysis treatments in accordance with MD orders and protocols.
• Adhere to strict infection control practices and dialysis safety standards.
• Operate and monitor water treatment systems.
• Participate in patient teaching and discharge planning.
• Engage in unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities.

Requirements

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of one year of dialysis experience.
• Knowledge of water treatment systems and dialysis safety standards.
