Per Diem Public Safety Officer

About the role

As a Public Safety Officer with Main Line Health, you will help ensure a safe environment for patients, staff, and the community by conducting on‑ and off‑campus surveillance, monitoring emergent situations, and handling delicate patient matters. The role offers opportunities for professional growth through Main Line Health education and development classes, regular performance feedback, and 1:1 communication with your manager.

Responsibilities

• Perform on‑ and off‑campus surveillance to maintain a safe environment.
• Monitor and respond appropriately to emergent situations and sensitive patient issues.
• Utilize professional judgment in handling security incidents.
• Participate in ongoing training and development programs offered by Main Line Health.

Requirements

• Experience in a healthcare setting or a security/customer‑service‑related field is preferred.
• Strong keyboarding skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Word and Outlook.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record for the past ten years.
• Certification or eligibility for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania State Lethal Weapons Training Certification (Act 235).
• Completion of Managing of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) parts 1, 2 & 3 within four months of employment.

Schedule
