Per Diem / PRN Speech Language Pathologist - $60-62 per hour

About the role

The New York State Dept. of Corrections and Community Supervision is seeking the services of one speech pathologist at Cape Vincent Correctional. This will be a per diem position as services are needed.

Responsibilities

• Assessing and treating persons with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
• Planning, organizing, and participating in rehabilitative programs
• Recommending and assisting in obtaining other services as deemed necessary
• Selecting and recommending alternative communication systems and teaching their use
• Performing research related to speech and language problems and presenting results of such research
• Referring patients to appropriate specialists and coordinating referrals

Requirements

• Must possess a valid degree and required New York State licensure

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• New York State Licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current CPR certification

Skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
