Schedule

• 13-week assignment
• Night shifts: 3x 12-hour (19:00 – 07:30)
• Patient ratios: 3 patients per nurse (nights and weekends)

Responsibilities

• Administration of blood & blood products
• Administration of chemotherapy
• Assist with lumbar puncture
• Care and management of ports
• Central line blood draw and care
• Infection prevention and isolation precautions/PPE
• Management of chest tubes
• Oxygen delivery systems
• Peripheral line care/management
• Phlebotomy and body fluid handling post-chemotherapy
• Fracture care
• Insertion and management of indwelling urinary catheters
• Monitoring chemotherapy
• Neuromuscular disease management
• Pediatric dosage calculations
• Pediatric Early Warning Score (PEWS)/Rapid Response Team
• Pediatric oncology care
• Symptom management
• TPN/Lipids administration
• Renal failure care
• Seizure disorder management
• Starting and maintaining IVs
• Wound assessment and care

Requirements

• 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse
• BLS, PALS, and APHON certifications
• NJ state license or Compact License
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)

Previous Charge Nurse experience preferred.
