Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate and competent nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
• Assess and document patient conditions, vital signs, and progress.
• Perform blood product administration, central line care, and manage isolation precautions.
• Interpret and respond to patient dysrhythmias, manage IVs, and perform phlebotomy.
• Manage and apply splints, provide procedural sedation, and monitor patients undergoing sedation.
• Apply knowledge of stroke and cardiac care to triage and manage patients accordingly.
• Ensure proper documentation in the Epic charting system.
• Support the team in managing violent behaviors and ensuring patient safety.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

• 2.0 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, MAB, NIHSS, PALS.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid California RN license.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
