About the Role

Select Medical is seeking a per diem / PRN CT Technologist for a position in Pensacola, Florida. This is an ongoing per diem opportunity with a compensation of $36.00 per hour.

Select Specialty Hospital Pensacola is a 52-bed facility combining a critical illness recovery hospital and an acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital, dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the patient for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process and creating a comfortable environment.
  • Use proper patient positioning and technical factors to consistently produce quality diagnostic studies.
  • Correctly operate a CT scanner to produce cross-sectional images of desired patient anatomy.
  • Administer contrast media as directed by the referring physician.
  • Monitor the patient for any adverse drug events and report accordingly.
  • Perform routine quality assurance on equipment and identify basic malfunctions.
  • Perform clerical duties, as needed, such as answering phones.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist and hold a current state license (as required).
  • At least 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist (not including school).
  • ARRT or CMRT certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Current with Continuing Education in all fields of licensure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience operating facility-specific equipment.
