Per diem Phlebotomist
About the Role
Phlebotomists at Penn Medicine are responsible for collecting blood samples from patients, ensuring proper procedures are followed, and maintaining patient safety and comfort throughout the process. The candidate performs phlebotomy on both inpatients and outpatients. Outpatient duties may include assignment to one of our outpatient satellite laboratories, with responsibilities for order entry of Laboratory orders. Inpatient phlebotomy includes morning rounds, beeper phlebotomy, and other duties as assigned. Employees may also be asked to perform additional duties deemed necessary by supervision.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of phlebotomy experience required
- Phlebotomy certification preferred
