Per Diem Optometrist – Saturdays – $650–$750/Day – New Independent Optical Practice – Bronx, NY

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye examinations
• Perform refractions and prescribe corrective lenses
• Diagnose and manage common ocular conditions within scope of practice
• Conduct and/or supervise contact lens evaluations and fittings
• Educate patients regarding eye health and vision care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Collaborate with optical and pharmacy staff to provide an excellent patient experience
• Make appropriate referrals to ophthalmologists and other specialists when necessary

Requirements

Must be licensed to practice optometry in New York State.

Qualifications

Experience in primary eyecare is preferred but not required.

Schedule

Initially works one day per week on a per diem basis, with the opportunity to expand to additional days as patient volume and the optical practice grow.
