Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive ophthalmologic evaluations and treatments for residents and patients in skilled nursing and long-term acute care settings.
- Diagnose and manage ocular diseases, including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, macular degeneration, and ocular surface disease.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary medical, nursing, and rehabilitation teams to ensure holistic, patient-centered care.
- Provide consultative ophthalmology services for patients with complex medical and visual needs.
Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Ophthalmology (within 5 years post-residency).
- New York State medical license required.
- Experience in geriatrics, complex medical populations, or hospital-based ophthalmology strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence, interdisciplinary collaboration, and patient-centered care.
Pay
Salary Range: $175 per hour
