Per Diem Mental Health Substitute

Position Summary/Responsibilities

Support essential building operations during absences for school counselors and social workers.
Provide crisis support.
Assist with arrival and dismissal routines.
Facilitate lunch bunch groups.
Serve as a second team member during lethality assessments.
Manage student behavior as needed.
Follow directions given by school administration and/or cooperating Mental Health staff.

Qualifications

• New York State Certified certification in social worker, school counseling, mental health, psychologist, or a similar certification is encouraged preferred.
• Desired Qualifications: Background in social work, school counseling, psychology, or sociology preferred.
• Experience: Must possess the ability to interact effectively with staff, students, and parents.
• Demonstrate professional demeanor.
• Possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Be punctual and dependable.
